Shannon Croft

Shannon Croft was an original member of Wolfpack Working Dog, SD, founded in 2009.  She has had dogs as long as she can remember. She has been involved in canine search and rescue for almost 30 years. Shannon, being well organized and a little OCD, has served on the board of the Wolfpack. She has also been the secretary for UScA and DVG trials.
Shannon earned a degree in Veterinary Technology in 1997 at Eastern Wyoming College. She received her Fire Fighter 1&2, Wildland Fire Suppression and First Responder Training, among other leadership classes, as a member of the local fire department in the Black Hills of South Dakota between 2015-2020.

She has trained her own dogs in Live Find Air Scent and HRD (Human Remains Detection) disciplines. Shannon has assisted with the training of many other dogs in all search disciplines (except avalanche), obedience, IPO/Shutzhund and service dogs. She was instrumental in setting up equipment for the dexterity portion of the RH. When she is not working or driving from one state to another in her full time RV lifestyle, she studies everything canine. Shannon has attended seminars, online classes and reads about all aspects related to canine search and rescue. Including training, search tactics, behavior, diet, scent theory, ethics, legal, navigation/orienteering, decomposition, biology, olfaction, taphonomy, and even a little entomology.

She has been involved with several searches both live and HR in the SD and WY Black Hills area. Shannon has titled dogs in AKC Rally, CGC, BH and RHFL-E (live find SAR).  She is a member of ARSA, American Schutzhund, DVG, NASAR (National Association of Search and Rescue) and AMPWDA (American Military Police and Working Dog Association).
